Ideal conditions greeted the runners for this year’s Buckie 10k – the 3rd race in the Northern Scot Series.
With a large number of yellow vests on the start line there was hope of good performances and quick times and the race certainly didn’t disappoint. Our own Gareth Jenkins and James Wilson were 1st and 2nd in 34.37 and 35.36 respectively with James just outsprinting his rivals in the home straight.
Colin Green was not far behind, again outsprinting his rival to claim 5th overall.
Louise Cartmell was our first lady home in 39.37 finishing 3rd overall and, alongside Gareth and James, the 3 of them took home the team prize for MRR.
With many others boasting significant PBs it is great to see all the hard work paying off.
Many thanks to Ron and the team at Keith and District AAC for their hospitality.
The final race of the series is the Benromach 10k on Sunday 7th May and, with several Club members handily placed in the overall series along with a flat course, hopefully there will be more PBs and successes for MRR.
