Glorious conditions greeted the 148 runners as the Club played host to the 2nd race in the Northern Scot series, the Miltonduff 10K.
With conflicting races at Run Garioch and the National Road Relay Champs it was great to see so many entrants with several from MRR taking the opportunity to race on familiar territory.
There was success for the Club with Gareth Jenkins and Louise Cartmell winning overall in 34.17 and 40.04. Further individual prizes went to James Wilson (3rd overall) and Colin Green (2nd V40). The prizewinning continued with Gareth, James and Colin taking the Men’s Team Prize and Louise, Susan Rae and Michelle Slater claiming the Ladies prize, rounding off a great day for MRR. Given the heat, PBs were at a premium so well done to everyone on their run in the sun.
Special thanks as always to Inverness Radio Volunteers and 423 Sqn (Elgin) ATC for their on course support and a huge thank you to everyone from the Club, young and old, who helped make the race another resounding success.
