So, here we are at the 8th Glenlivet 10km race and the day promised to be a good one for running.
As usual it was a busy and packed registration, with 483 runners participating today.
There were 9 MRRs entered for this race, the majority had done it before and were looking forward to “the steady incline” and some who had not ran it before but had heard that the hills “weren’t that bad”
We had the usual race brief and as this race is organised by CHSS, all the money goes to support people who benefit from the money CHSS raise. At 11am we all started off, the weather was perfect, about 11 degrees, with a bit of a wind, but nothing that would bother you.
All the MRRs ran well and put up a good showing at this race. An excellent result for James, who finished 3rd Overall, well done. The results are:
| Name | Position | Time |
| James Wilson | 3rd Overall | 36:52 |
| Robert Bruce | 3rd Male Super Vet | 44:05 |
| Justine Blaszk | 47:37 | |
| Karen Norvell | 49:33 | |
| Sally Bruce | 49:56 | |
| Sarah Houston | 2nd Female Vintage | 50:16 |
| Michelle Russell | 51:07 | |
| Kimberley Clark | 54:24 | |
| Kirsty Weir | 54:58 |
This is a really nice race, well organised but not a race to go for a 10km PB, due the the various “inclines” it is an
enjoyable race and I have ran every one of them.
If you do fancy a nice race in a lovely location then consider doing The Glenlivet.
Well done to all runners, organisers and volunteers for another excellent event.
