What a Week Club Round Up

There was success for numerous members of Team Yella this week.

X-Country

At the final North District XC League meeting at Forres on Saturday, the men’s senior team secured their first overall gold for several years, while the senior women took bronze.
In the age group categories, there were silvers for the under-17, under-15 and under-11 girls, while the under-13, under-15 and under-17 boys all took bronze.
Individually, Ewan Davidson and James Wilson took silver and bronze respectively in the senior men’s contest.
In the senior women, Michelle Slater was first in the VW40 category.  Ellyn Smith took silver in the under-17 girls and Beth Urquhart won bronze in the under-15 girls.
Huge congratulations to everyone.

Kinloss to Lossie HM

This club success continued the following day when Scotland International Kenny Wilson outsprinted Commonwealth bronze medallist Robbie Simpson to win the Kinloss to Lossie Half Marathon by just three seconds.
Storm Dennis provided a strong following wind to help several club members set new PBs, so well done to all of them and to the various prizewinners.
The club would like to thank all the runners and volunteers who helped make it another great MRR event, with lots of positive feedback afterwards.

Moray Sports Centre Membership

The club has now taken out corporate membership with the new Moray Sports Centre where we meet for training sessions.  Members can now join MSC for a discounted rate of £30 a month or £330 a year.
