Junior Prize Giving/Mince Pie Relay
‘Santa’s Little Helpers’ proved too fast and too honest for the others in this year’s Mince Pie Relay. Six teams set off around Morriston Playing Fields with the senior 1st Leg Runners setting the standard by following the course exactly – a standard maintained until the Final Leg runners, in their quest for glory and keeping with tradition, tried to cheat their way to victory by taking some interesting shortcuts. After a Steward’s Enquiry and a few Mince Pies, ‘Santa’s Little Helpers’ were announced the winners. Thank you to all the juniors, seniors, parents and coaches for taking part.
The Junior Prize Giving followed which recognises performance, achievement, attitude to training, teamwork and respect. We are blessed with a junior section that is a credit to the Club so choosing our prize winners was extremely difficult so many congratulations to the following on their awards:
U11 – Blair Milne and Niamh Grant
U13 – Morgan Lewis and Beth Grant
U15 – Sam Anderson and Charlotte Bevan
U17 – Ben Mitchell and Dionne Milne / Emma Bowie
Endeavour Award – Ana Downey
