Bringing home the bling weekend 6/7 June 2015

A superb weekend for Moray Road Runners as we seemed to have picked up lots of silverware in various races.

On Saturday Michelle and Darrin ran the Knock Hill race at the Cornhill Highland Games, Darrin finished 5th and Michelle was first lady.

Scott Cassidy finished 2nd overall at Glas Tulaichean Hill Race at Glenshee.

10847894_10153405484608901_1690720189118579601_nOn the Sunday a few MRRs went along and competed in the Nairn 10 Mile Road Race.  At the ND Champs it was Silver11390017_10153405484303901_2482980700793766856_n for Kenny Wilson, Gold and Silver for Elspeth Jenkins and Helen Low in the V40 category and Gold for Steve Reeve in the V50 category.

The Marafun was a great day for the club. Finlay Downey set the standard when winning the Primary Schools Marafun Race with Grace Jenkins first girl home.  Not to be outdone, the men finished second overall in 2hrs 51 min 53 secs and also picked up 1st Men’s prize with the MRR ladies winning 1st Ladies Team prizes in the Main Event in 3 hrs 20 mins 40 secs.
