London Marathon – 24/04/2016

Moray Road Runners had a good showing of athletes at the marathon with a total of 4MRRs travelling to compete.

This is an excellent Marathon to run, being one of the majors, the organisation and the atmosphere is just phenomenal.

Our runners were:

Ally Campbell who finished in a time of 2:45:37

Time for beer
Drink of Athletes and Champions

Steve Reeve, finished in a time of 2:49:28, in his age category of 50-54, this makes him 17th in Britain and 1st in Scotland, which means he is the over 50 Scottish champion for the 2nd year running.  Well done Steve.

Dr Peter Shirley (A Moray Road Runner who lives in London) finished in 3:11:19, beating Dame Kelly Holmes by 8 seconds
