This was the 3rd year of the Lossiethon and it is run in aid of the RAFBF, with all proceeds going to this charity. There was a good turnout of MRRs at this small event, with 7 Road Runners on the start line. They moved the start and finish this year and so we started at the Community Centre and finished there, which meant we had access to changing facilities, a good move by the organising committee.
This is an enjoyable race, with the route being mostly flat and the opportunity to have a fast race. Just as we started the rain started and throughout this race it rained and stopped raining, it served to cool us all down, there was good support on the course with regular water stops and marshalls at
the vital junctions.
Elspeth was 1st Lady and Karen was 3rd Lady. Everyone else who ran had a good race and some good PB’s were achieved. Roy and his masseurs were available for anyone with weary legs and agin the money for this went to the RAFBF.
