We were blessed with some lovely autumnal weather and a nice dry route (which was appreciated by those of us who had done Keith x-country the day before!).

The race was a 5 mile (ish) trail run which started at the car park and followed the green walking route uphill, past the Windy Walks and the pond, then headed downhill and ran parallel to the A96 for a bit, before turning up the hill for the challenging mile or so climb right up to the monument.  After this we got a reprieve with a long downhill stretch, which headed past the Viewpoint, and finished back where we had started.

There were 26 runners taking part and the MRR results were as follows:

Steven Morrison – 36.50 mins, 3rd male

Nigel Williams – 43.01 mins

Michelle Slater – 43.54 mins, 2nd female and 1st FV1517642_894084567276173_8721821912232882445_n

Sarah Houston – 46.12 mins, 3rd female and 1st FSV

Sarah and Michelle got a bottle of wine each for winning their age group.

The overall winners were Paul Murdoch from Keith & District and Sonia Armitage from Cosmics.
