Tay Ten – 05/04/2015

This race was organised by the Perth Roadrunners and started and finished at the George Duncan Athletics Track at Perth Grammar school.
Kalum and myself were the only two MRR participating in this races, however Claire Riley was cheering us on as she was there supporting her mum and brother who were also participating.
I started this 10 mile  race at 11am along with another 300 runners we started on the track then in and around North Inch Park followed the river up a cycle path, some short trails onto B class roads then finished back on the track.
The weather was very hot and sunny which took it toll on some runners, I certainly felt it the last 3 mile and was glad to see the finish but I did enjoy this run.

All runners received a Finishers technical Teeshirt which is nice and bright I love it!! also a goody bag.

Kalum race started at 11.05am he was in the age 10 and under category and it was just over a mile which started on the track and ran past a Golf course then looped back into the track, all the children received a medal and a goody bag.  Kalum was delighted to collect a Trophy for being 3rd in his age group and 9th overall.
This event was very well organised a great flat course, perfect for a PB with a stadium start and finish.
