Despite the wet forecast this years Glenlivet 10K (the most scenic in the country apparently!) turned out to be a perfect day for the 600
registered runners, with cool dry conditions and no wind.
Never an easy course, with it’s well advertised ‘steady incline’, the race starts in the distillery grounds and winds it’s way up to the top road above and then down to Tomnavoulin before a 2 mile undulation back to the finish on the main road below The Glenlivet.
It’s certainly a scenic course and if you get a PB you’re doing well! There’s plenty of support and with the size of field you are never really running on your own so it’s worth the entry fee, which goes to the wonderful Chest Heart Stroke Scotland charity.
A good show of yellow vests this year and a host of good performances too … it was a personal journey for me and I confess the support from friends and family meant a lot .. a better run than last year and a smile for Dad at the end 🙂
