Team sheets and instructions were placed in the capable hands (what could possibly go wrong) of parents this week for the second meeting of the Grampian Athletics League north district.
Here we go
Jazz hands Lorna
All aboard the bus for a quick jazz hands session from Lorna and we’re off.
Beautiful weather was a bonus to start and a heavy shower in the afternoon provided a great scene when the sun reappeared and steam rose from the track.
Maybe Karen was not that impressed as she had very kindly offered her help with the field events and got thoroughly soaked.
As always juniors behaved and performed amazingly. A few seniors joined us and seemed to really enjoy themselves and were astounded at the talent in the junior section.
So a big shout out to seniors, come along and give it a go, you never know you might like it.
Well done smiley face stickers were awarded to Chantall and Juliet. Great effort by everyone from u11s attempting field events for the first time to seniors sprinting for the first time since school.
A lot of wins and PBs too numerous to mention.
Come on Kevin (what do you mean, his names Simon)
As a team everyone contributes. The older juniors helped greatly with the younger members, parents all muck in and the roar from the stand lifts everyones spirit.
We must apologise to Simon for the roar of “come on Kevin”, not sure how that happened.
Now that the nightmares of not handing the team sheets in and everyone being disqualified have gone all we can say is well done team yella and come back Gareth and Brian
