Scottish Age Group Championships Aberdeen 17/18 August

6 MRR athletes participated in the various age championships. Missing was Andrew Stoker who had broken his arm and had a ‘bionic’ implant!
U14g Charlotte Bevan had 2 bronze medals in the 200m (28.45 sec) and High Jump (1.40m) and placed 4th at the 75mH 12.88 sec.
U16g Dionne Milne won the Discus with 36.91m. Lauren bell was 5th at Javelin 23.35m and 7th at the 80mH 13.09sec (PB).
U18m & w – Emma Bowie started the day for MRR with her gold in the Hammer and throw of 48.61m. Dionne Milne had gold in this age group with a Discus throw of 35.95m. Callum Alexander threw 43.39m to take gold with the Javelin. Leon Greig, in his first championships, Long Jumped to 6th place and a PB and club record of 5.96m. He finished 5th at Triple Jump with a PB and club record of 11.48m. He has only been doing Triple Jump for a month.
U20w Emma Bowie won bronze in Hammer with 45.67m and Dionne Milne had another gold with her Discus going to 36.91m.
In case anyone wonders why Emma and Dionne are doing other age groups. The rules state they may compete in older age groups, so long as the competitions are on different days.
