Weekly News Update

MRR held its AGM this week, with chairman Gareth Jenkins highlighting a successful year for the club with achievements at district, national and international level.  He also paid tribute to Robert Bruce, who has decided to stand down as club secretary, with Bernard Salmon taking on the role.
The meeting also agreed that individual members will in future be responsible for their own Scottish Athletics membership subscriptions.
Last weekend, the club had a men’s team in action at the national cross country relays at Cumbernauld, while Scottish International Kenny Wilson made his marathon debut in Frankfurt, finishing in an impressive 2.22.
This weekend club members will be travelling to Evanton for the latest round of the North District Cross Country League and the popular Brodie Castle 10k is on Sunday.
Good luck to all members of Team Yella.
