A good show of yellas at Evanton XC. Ewan Davidson & James Wilson were 4th & 5th respectively, the weather was mud glorious mud.
Iona, Michelle & Justine all ran well for the ladies and I happily brought home the 4th Team counter. Great runs as well from Kimberley, Amanda and Debbie Main (don’t think I’ve missed anyone!)
Juniors also ran well and in particular enjoyed the mudfest
Ross County were great hosts but the course at Evanton Community Woods had not benefited from a week of rain and the weather on Saturday was grim … the course was wet, muddy and wet with extra mud thrown in on the long loop for for the senior runners!
Sunday saw the usual great Team Yella turnout for the Brodie Castle 10k. Less than ideas conditions again, especially for all of those trying to wash and dry kit from the cross country!!
A muddy start on the castle path before heading onto the road .. for puddle dodging! Thought it was a road race not more cross country 🙂
Past the halfway point and the wind was mercifully behind us! Another muddy path finish to our brilliant Goodie Bottles and soup .. thanks to Forres Harriers and all the marshals for a great job.
As well as Ewan & James it was great to see Louise Cartmell back racing, finishing 3rd lady
Awesome results from the senior senior members of the team saw prizes for Paul Meldrum (3rd V40) Andy Alexander (1st V50) Karen Norvell (1st V50) and Simon Macdonald (2nd V60)
There’s life in the old dogs yet 🙂
