Saturday saw Team MRR off to Nairn for the second NDCC league meeting of 2015. A glorious autumn day did not deter a good intrepid turnout … although as the day went on and the tide got higher there were some worried looking faces!
Damage to the dunes saw the course altered slightly from previous years to include alot more beach running and an incoming tide meant this was mostly on soft stuff .. unless you were keen to trot through the surf!
A mix of sand & marsh followed before we threw ourselves (literally in Louise’s case) into the first water crossing! walking the course

Back along the path to the second water obstacle, which was now at ‘underwear’ level for the ladies … brrrrr for the men I should imagine! and then the final bit of gravelly path to the finish!
All in all you can’t say that Nairn doesn’t give you a taste of running on all terrains! Great cake afterwards too! Chris Spencer of ActivNorth took some fantastic pictures, which are well worth a look!

Representation across the board which is excellent and some good results for our juniors too!
