North District XC Relay, Evanton 11/10/2014

On Saturday 13 Moray Roadrunners travelled up to Evanton to take part in the cross-country relays.
The weather was perfect for running, cool, dry with no wind.  The course had a bit of everything, good forestry track, narrow winding paths with one or two testing wee climbs through the woods.  Under foot conditions were pretty good with barely any mud.
First up were the Junior Girls.  They had a brilliant race to claim 3rd team.  1900018_801567343220541_2598927678732410217_n

Megan Smith 8-59
Grace Whelan 8-49 to bring the team home.

Blair Milne 9-04

The final race of the day was the Men.
First off for MRR was Kenny Wilson, who continues his fantastic form with a superb 12 min 52 secs, which was the fastest time of the day.
Though Kenny gave the team a great lead, the rest of team, despite running their hearts out for the cause just couldn’t hold off the opposition and finished outside the  medal places.
Paul Taylor 13-51
Ally Campbell 15-27
Colin Green 14-19 made up the rest of the team.
Everyone really enjoyed the great course, which was well organised and marshalled, with plenty of cakes at the end.
