X-Country Dores – 16/01/2016

12509884_180547922300478_368113131560019602_nThe beautiful setting at Dores played host to the 4th round of the North District XC League.

Although the weather was kind on the day, the cold snap had made the ground extremely hard underfoot in places though the steep hills in the forest still had their fair share of mud.

Well done to all who ventured through to represent the Club with some fine performances on display.

The men consolidated their 2nd position in the league with Kenny Wilson leading the team home in 3rd.

A fine run by Gemma Cormack in 2nd helped the Ladies take 3rd spot on the day.

Grace Whelan strengthened her grip on the U15 trophy with another win and there were fine runs by Blair Milne (2nd) and Niamh Whelan (3rd) in the U13 races.

Everyone should be pleased with their run as Dores presents a tough challenge.

Many thanks to all the officials, Ross Nixon and the Inverness Harriers crew on a great day’s racing.
