LOSSIEMOUTH 10 MILE TURKEY TROT / NORTH DISTRICT CHAMPS

It was a fantastic effort from the Club this year with no fewer than 5 Championship Medals being won at the North District Champs / Lossiemouth 10 Mile Turkey Trot in mild, breezy conditions.
117 runners took part with Gordon Lennox (Forres Harriers) winning the Men’s Race in 55.36 and Tammy Wilson (Garioch Road Runners) winning the Ladies Race in 64.11.
Kenny Wilson ran a massive PB to finish 2nd overall and take Silver in the North District Champs (56.36) with Louise Cartmell also finishing 2nd overall in a PB (65.45) to be crowned North District Champion for 2013.
Sarah Houston fought hard to take Gold in the Masters 50 category and Georgina Zissler and Karen Norvell took Bronzes in the overall and Masters 40 categories respectively – well done everyone.
Also, a huge well done to our other runners for ensuring a large representation of yellow vests in the field – Blair Laird, Paul Taylor, Steve Reeve, Ally Campbell, Simon Dobbs, Steven Morrison, Keith McArthur, Connor Mant, John McGregor, David Ingleby, Amanda Strang, Helen Low, Sally Bruce and Kathy Dunbar.
Finally, a massive thank you to everyone who helped with the organisation of the race.
