Rrrraylle 5km – 14 June 2015

The Rrrraylle 5km takes place from Keith Community Centre as part of the fundraising Rrrraylle day to raise money in aid of speed awareness and to promote safe driving.

We registered at Keith Community and Leisure Centre prior to making the short walk to the start.

There was a small field of less than 100 made up of both Rrrraylle 5k runners and Race for Life runners and walkers.

We were off to a quick start on an undulating course of road, tracks and paths.  A lovely course if tricky underfoot in places.  Being at the Hamiltons Rulefront of the pack meant having to really concentrate on going the right way, with the marshalling unfortunately lacking in places.  Doug finished a great run in 22.43, scoring a new PB as first male home, with me finishing in 26.47, first female home for the Rrrraylle 5km.

Our results combined with Race for Life were Doug in 7th place and me in 18th.

We headed home very happy after a great result from a great run. Highly recommended as a lovely 5km.
