There were a total of 6 MRRs entered for this event, 4 ran in the 17.46km race and 2 ran in the 10km race.
This is a well organised event held in a beautiful location of Culloden battlefield. Today was a wet and windy day for this race. The 17.46km started at 10:45 with the 10km setting off at 11am. Both races follow the same route until 8.5km then the longer race turns off. These are both good races today was made difficult by the high winds which were in your face for various parts of the race. The 10km is a circular route and is mostly flat with some uphill parts.
The 17.46km has a few steep hills to run up, once at the top of the hill you look down upon the Viaduct and as the runners went along the top the sun came out and a rainbow appeared in the sky.
The results for the MRRs today are as follows
10km

Steven Carmichael: 38:24 – 3rd man home
Amanda Strang: 53:01
17.46km

Robert Bruce: 1:30:56
Helen Low: 1:31:23
