Nairn 10km 02/03/2014
There was a good showing of MRRs at the first in the Northern Scot 10K series held in Nairn.
The day dawned bright and sunny with the habitual breeze which always turns up at this event. However, with the wind behind the runners on the second half, there were some very good results across the board with quite a few PBs for our athletes. Kenny Wilson (33:55) finished in 5th place. Colin Green (37:05) Louise Cartmell (41:11) Sarah Houston (46:59) despite feeling a tad chilly, had a great run winning first lady Senior Vet. Helen Low (47:39) Sally Bruce (47:53) Michelle Slater (47:54) Amanda Strang (49:01) Robert Bruce (49:44) Jenni Coelho (55:31) Kathy Dunbar (56:10) Alexander Wilkes (56:12)
In the 5K fun run, young Kalum Low had a good run too finishing in 27.07.
A well organised event from Nairn Road Runners with a great spread at the Community Centre afterwards.
