Scottish Schools Championships
Grangemouth Stadium – Fri/Sat 7th/8th June
Eight Moray Roadrunners’ junior members were representing their respective schools at the above champs, most bringing home medals.
Dionne Milne threw 38.22m in the discus to win gold and Emma Bowie also won gold for her throw of 47.13m in the hammer. Callum Alexander won silver with a throw of 41.97m in the javelin. Ben Mitchell won bronze in the 400m hurdles (59.13) and Lauren Bell also won bronze in the 100m (13.26). Lauren also took part in the high jump and shot putt. Grace Whelan narrowly missed a place in the final of the 800m, finishing in 2.29.90 (PB). Charlotte Bevan was 3rd in her heat in the 75m hurdles (12.96) and Jack Mitchell threw 39.92m in the hammer.
