It was a mix of experience and first-timers as 17 MRRs competed in this year’s National XC Champs at a sunny Callendar Park, Falkirk. Conditions underfoot were soft in places making for a hard day of racing.
Our U13 boys of Roger and Hugh ran very well to finish 36th and 86th respectively. Darren was 34th in the U15 race and William 88th in the U17 race. Brilliant experience for them all, competing in such a big event.
In the Senior Ladies race Katja, Sarah and Grace were 68th, 108th and 202nd in a field of 286 finishers. Well done ladies.
Our men were a very credible 27th out of the 38 scoring teams, with 637 finishers in total. Well done to James (75th), Matt (226), Gary (231), Bobby (350), Ally (367), Stephen (393), Kev (466), Craig (512), Colin (523) and Kenny (542).
With over 100 clubs represented, it was another fine day for MRR.
